So much of the good content on Reddit is the result of questions that can now be asked of LLMs (and I expect net reliability to go down, but that’s hard to measure) so freshness will surely drop.

Gemini and o3 still use it quite a bit.

Fresh content matters.

The challenge will be how to get people to keep producing high quality content that will most likely end up consumed via LLMs. Which means less eyeballs for ads on Reddit Et al.

Reddit itself might not adapt.
