If you invited someone to Farcaster in the last 3 months and they 1) signed up but 2) then stopped using the app after a few days or weeks, what was the reason they gave you?

(@noiceapp we’re doing a lot of user research on this, still a wip) broadly the feedback i have noticed has been that the users are used to either media heavy platforms (insta, yt, tiktok) and/or text centric spaces (x, threads, and surprisingly substack) on farcaster the content skews towards dev/tech and crypto which can feel a bit impenetrable for folks outside those worlds. so i don’t have a perfect answer but i do think the recent push toward video/media content is a step in the right direction. feels like we need more of it.

Ideas! Location trends not related to blockchain from NYC, Denver, Seattle, LA, Miami locations? That tends to be a default I see people gravitate to IRL when setting up social settings. “When I go on a day trip what city am I checking what’s going on?” Weather trends for national/regional. We have the location stuff, and it’s tornado season. Some of us rural folks seem to have an affinity for storm and tornado update. And from the mouth of the 2 people in my kitchen right now: - “Things that aren’t tech or crypto.” from @hexate - “Less tech, more cool pictures with nerdy comments.” @hazelblue Literally onboarded IRL family and bringing more on. None of them are really social media or crypto types so tap me if you ever need candid “Farcaster Family” feedback on atypical users!
