Got a bunch of pings of "why wasn't I included for the airdrop?" a. We use *public* data from the protocol and onchain to segment types of users b. We share that information with projects / teams that are considering an airdrop c. They decide how many people and the amount to offer, as well as any activation they are hoping to achieve. How to increase your likelihood for future airdrops 1. Complete verifications - connect X / Twitter, fund wallet, etc. 2. Use the app *daily* 3. Active on the social network. 4. Use mini apps *daily* 5. Do transactions with your wallet at least 1x a week, but the more the better and in your warplet 6. If you opt in to an airdrop, following through on the activation, i.e. use the mini app, stake, etc. -- developers want to offer you an airdrop in return for doing something; this is why it's opt-in.

I’m gonna be that guy: I feel like I’m a model Farcaster-Ian — is there any way for me to know what metric I fell short of on this one (knowing that each set of requirements is bespoke).

💯 with you on this. The only social media I use is here and keep a sizeable amount in my wallet, I am constantly funding mini apps, posting, reacting, sharing, high fiving, dancing to the YMCA song and even stopped donating to super villains. What else can I do

My network is reporting that low FID seems to be a favored metric. Feels a tad out of touch, but I’m not the driver.

Well that’s pretty shitty. So an inactive user who was here earlier can be favored over a newer users who is far more active power user? Typical

Activity may still be a requirement but seems like everyone I know who got it is also a low FID

It’ll be hard to gain long term loyalty if it’s only low FID’s who gain all the rewards. Over time you’ll have a high concentration of projects favoring a small few and then those few users won’t have loyalty to each of those projects. It’s like all those trash coins that get dropped into our wallets and they call it ‘marketing’ but we obviously don’t care about those random coins. Versus spreading out rewards among the higher FID’s of active users. Chances are if those projects spread it out to higher FID’s, those users would receive less ‘if any’ drops (just cause of random chance of averages) and would be more willing to listen or even be loyal to a project they gave them a shot. Theoretically. But I’m not their marketer so I’m sure they know what’s best for them.

Thanks for this. My sample size was small but consistent. Guess I just hang with early adopters. 😂
