I really struggle with acronyms for whatever reason. I kinda thought it was just me

YES. It makes content and communication unapproachable to folks who are not up on the lingo and creates a significant barrier to entry. I quickly lose interest in reading about something new if I have to keep a separate tab open to look up acronyms.
