Saw this coming a mile away. In hindsight it was inevitable. Gonna miss Frames v1 / Open Frames, but from a product / maintenance perspective I get why itâs easier to get rid of it entirely. I sure hope mini-apps are here to stay though. The last thing devs want in a tech platform is a graveyard of sunset experiments left in its wake. https://killedbygoogle.com

Yes, just thinking long-term and hoping this isnât setting a precedent for a future sunset / ongoing maintenance burden. Mini-apps in their current form are definitely better because even if all the clients stop supporting the protocol, at least you still have a standalone web app.
