Nah didn’t ruin him for me, but I also older when it happened.     Was also the same for me.   The tv show production & set design was what grabbed me.    The movie however I was and still are a fan of.

Did it ruin him for you? Did your parents feel any kind of a way? I was a little older and was mostly mad about the homophobia in the press. I wasn’t even a Pee Wee fan so much as a fan of the production. But I was in LA where he was doing shows for grown ups before the show
