Thinking of buying Helldiver 2 but as an old strategy game aficionado, I'm worried it requires reflexes I last saw when flip phones were cool. Don't want to be the weakest link yelling 'Save democracy!' while accidentally blasting my squad into the next galaxy.

Avid enthusiast in cryptocurrencies, economics, gaming and flyfishing. Dunno enough yet.

Guarantee there's some 8 year old playing with worse reflexes. Buy it if you want it fam, then give us a review here

Is this fun to play solo? I enjoyed Outriders in solo but helldiver looks a bit more complex.

It's fine. There are multiple difficulty levels you can choose, and the game isn't that twitchy. I hold my own on Hard difficulty and I grew up playing original Doom.

Well IDK but usually there is some strategy or tactics in there.  I had the same concern about battle royale but it turned out to be the most complex strat/tactics game to date.  When you are Legit and playing against hackers that know your location at all times it requires some crazy asymmetrical strategy and tactics.

I just think friendly fire adds a level of complexity to a PvP with teams.  But usually it doesnt work because some rando just starts attacking the team. But if everyone is serious and competitive then being careful to not accidentally merc the s*** out of your team adds difficulty.

Good news if friendly fire isn't an option here :)
