right? i imagine there's at least ten grandmas in every city in europe that bakes a killer bread and it doesn't cost $20 i can literally walk 50m and get a great bread for affordable prices

it can be funny, but i find family guy more a show in service of crude humor (subjective) instead of humor in service of a show might be a generational thing though as i grew up more with the simpsons 🤣

yeah, agreed, but i don't find simpsons show quality to be as high and humor is chuckle-worthy. family guy is crap show-wise, but i used to crack up at the absurdity a lot

it's actually a common running debate (gag?) among simpsons nerds on deciding when the show started become stale, less quality and no joke, i'd say it coincides with around the time family guy came out, not that fg was the cause but that the sudden demand for more "adult" animations kind of changed how the show would be run but those golden seasons of 3-8 (maybe up to 9?), particularly for me the conan o'brien years, felt unbeatably hilarious, smart and absurd (which is what probably opened the gate for fg) again, may largely have to be chalked up to "you had to be there" 🤣
