wife is putting together a photo book and had just printed family pictures from 2020, when our first kid was born this is the first time i noticed i looked significantly younger and it hasn't even been that long ago so now i'm wondering whether it's the kids and if so, whether "people looked older 30y ago" isn't just a consequence of them having kids earlier --- disclaimer (in case my wife reads this): i love my kids and don't mind trading my youthful looks for having them (and wife still looks great)

kid 1 didn't have a big impact on me, but man, after kid 2 in 2019, i got much less physically active and just embraced the dad bod, proceeded to put on like 20 kgs since then! only in the past year do i feel like i've gotten back into an active groove with a bit more me-time now that both kids are more independent

i'm way more mindful about things like sleep, movement, eating and drinking habits, because kids just don't care 🤣 it took me a long time to find a regime, but honestly now i feel better than ever the only thing that's missing is a bit more time for physical exercise. i am trying to sprinkle it throughout the day, but my playing football last week showed how it is clearly not enough
