im starting to see this in social media too!!

i feel like algorithms can end up dampening people’s personalities or reducing people to one thing

a tiktoker ends up doing their signature dance in every single video cos thats what will get them likes

or an X account will rage bait about one topic as that’s what gets them engagement and $$$

many creators can end up becoming a caricature of themselves as they are mainly existing online to feed the algorithm

kinda like “niching” down to the point where the person is lost completely

i have been SO guilty of this as i am a people pleaser who is trying to stop being a people pleaser haha

now i am trying to post in a way which reflects more elements of my personality and interests 

not just the ones i assume people/ algo will find interesting

so bare with me as i try to show up more as “me”
