do people actually like this new design language from google?

it looks terrible to my eye

one good thing about it is the sections, gives me very clear distinction between elements 

i really want to try a pixel out to actually use it and then make a judgement

that sounds like bullshit to me lol, why do participants need to “spot” a send button

and even aside from my own opinion the research data was pretty wild

yeah it feels like a made up stat, in that it wasn’t a real “problem” to solve
