Once every 3 days or so I clear em out mainly becuase I feel like my battery isn’t as strong as it used to be

Sometimes, yes. Especially if I find a buggy app, thinking this may fix it (and it does, sometimes)

I'm on Android and I use "gesture" interface so I'm always swiping. Swipe from bottom to close app and swipe from the right to go back
