🚨 BREAKING: @dwr.eth says animated PFPs are making a comeback — exclusively for Farcaster Pro users.

On the MisinforMedia podcast this morning, Farcaster founder Dan Romero said he wants to "earn the people's hearts, best emails, and $120" — agreeing that "animated PFPs are the only way to truly bring culture back to the purple app".

With the new subscription model, users will finally get access back to the loved feature that's been causing problems for nearly 50% of Farcaster users (that is, 17 Android phones).

There’s a difference between features that are worth a pro subscription and “shiny” things like this. 

We had animated pfps.

They were taken away due to tech can’t handle it.

Now they’re only coming back for $$

I’m cool with new features or bonus functionality but not stuff that was widely used before.
