Neil Druckmann, co-creator of The Last of Us, has stepped away from the HBO adaptation and won’t be involved in the show’s third season. He’s shifting his full focus to Naughty Dog and their upcoming game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, where he’s serving as both co-writer and game director. Druckmann called his time on the series one of the most meaningful experiences of his career and thanked the team — especially showrunner Craig Mazin — but confirmed he’s moving on.
