what kind of food do you like? i don’t have many recommendations for local food as i’m a veg, but i can definitely recommend some good restaurants. 
 
definitely recommend Lau Pa Sat for the hawker center experience.

Anything good across cuisines but specifically local favourites, thanks for Lau Pa Sat suggestion just pinned to my list.

another nice hawker center is satay by the bay. it’s inside Gardens by the bay. 

some restaurants to try - Miznon, dumpling darlings.

SG chat folks might have some good recommendations for local food.
