Saw what Afrochicks shared and it hasn’t left my head.

Her parents showed up for a hug.
She showed up for content.

That moment said so much about where we are.
We don’t even live memories anymore. We capture them in third person for people who weren’t even there.

It’s not just cold. It’s disoriented.

i was at the airport today to pick my parents up from their trip

whilst i was waiting i saw an older couple standing with anticipation

the arrival doors opened and a woman arrived with her huge case

it was their daughter 

she looked around 25/26ish 

they opened their arms to embrace her

and she immediately whipped out her phone to film content

getting 0.5 selfie video of her hugging her mum then her dad 

it wasnt even a proper hug cos her phone was up in the air getting the right angle

they wanted a hug she wanted content

its a cold world out here
