hey @flynn.eth I saw you put up a poll to decide which launcher to use for the @dau launch.
you’ve probably noticed that a number of people — I’d call them “uninformed” — are recommending @farstore, under the guise of promoting “fairness.”
let me explain why that would be a big mistake, and why you should go with Clanker if you want your project to maintain legitimacy and maximize its user growth potential.
the creators of Farstore, lacking real experience with the Base market in its purest form, didn’t realize that by trying to enforce “absolute fairness,” they basically destroyed their chances of building a product that would attract users and speculators long-term.
the 1:1+ liquidity-to-marketcap ratio is absolutely terrible — it kills all volatility, which ruins the trading experience. that means 99% of users have no reason to pay attention to tipn-type launches.
Clanker’s ecosystem, on the other hand, allows for an optimal liquidity ratio — balancing volatility and depth — which leads to long-term development and healthy growth (just look at bankr, indexy, noice, QR, etc).
on top of that, their brand-new anti-sniping auction system lets creators capture a significant portion of sniper fees, reducing inequality at launch without killing the early distribution.
I’d recommend talking to the current wave of founders building on Base — get their take. (@jake @tike @deployer etc)
don't underestimate the importance and impact of a healthy chart on the long-term health of your project.
traders are the ones who gives attention and relevance to your project, so building a product that drives them away is basically signing your project's death sentence — and there’ll be nothing you can do about it.
@dish, @lobstermindset.eth and all the clanker team have done an incredible job. it’d be a shame not to unlock the full potential of $dau.
