Web3 users shouldn’t have to choose an EVM chain. Just like web2 users are never asked to pick an AWS region.

100%. if we play our cards right, we can have a single chain, “Ethereum”, for all EVM blockspace. deploy contracts on L1, but scale them on L2 with stage 2 native / based booster rollups (direct scaling / sharding). in this world EVM L2 companies turn into superblock builders / elastic scalers.

and then move builder docs into web3 contract languages/frameworks (eg. solidity, vyper, foundry). spicy take but i (currently) think this is the path EVM equivalent L2s should take long term, and effectively disappear as a separate brand / chain.
