I find myself getting more frustrated with my older son because A. He is exactly like me I’m aware of it and catch myself some times, but it’s a constant battle It’s as though I punish him for being the things I don’t like about myself

I've discovered that parenting is an opportunity to improve ourselves and be better as human beings for the ones we love and take care of. Being cognizant of our emotional reflexes and responses is important.
