Caffeine is such an interesting drug It’s got so many purported cognitively enhancing effects, but there has been so little delineation of the context of those effects both in research and in application For example: if you’re well rested, not sleep deprived, and consume a moderate amount of caffeine (~100mg) while having no previous tolerance (aka no caffeine in last 7-10 days)… you will absolutely experience both physical and mental performance benefits But - if you ARE sleep deprived, and are currently tolerant (say, daily consumer for past 10 days), even if you consume a significant amount (200mg+), you will become more alert but will probably NOT experience performance enhancing effects Those are completely different outcomes! And the outcome that yields no results is at double the dosage!!! It’s so important that if you’re consuming caffeine as a performance enhancer you learn the intricacies of its effects and your bodies response Social enjoyers do whatever you want lol

What are your thoughts on nicotine as a cognitive booster? You ever experiment with it for that purpose

Highly addictive. Never needed to know more than that. Never used and don’t plan on it For reference, cocaine and methamphetamine are even better performance enhancers than nicotine
