After the latest bankless channel drama, I thought that the best solution for would be to have a harberger tax based hybrid onchain registry system for making channels decentralized and being sure that the owner is the real owner.

domain squatting, like patent trolling, is one of the more overtly obnoxious elements of capitalism. 

even when farcaster becomes fully decentralized there needs to be a way to prevent it, like harberger taxes or something. 

decentralization doesn’t have to mean moronic and extractive.

Over on lens rn it’s just an endless stream of people dunking on FC for channelsquatters being refunded but it’s kind of a testament to why Lens isn’t it. since day one everyone’s been namesquatting. 

in most cases squatting just encourages people to adopt other standards. it ruins namespaces. it is lame af
