1. when doing 'straight line backing': after turning your head and looking through the back window, pick the roadline or curb you are trying to back along & imagine a needle head at the point where the line crosses the bottom your back window: fixate on that point & then your job is to thread the needle. 2. When stopping at stop signs, you have to come to a complete stop where you (& your evaluator) can actually see the white stop line in front of your bumper (which nobody actually does in reality, because non-toddlers have object permanence), only then can you start creeping forward to see the oncoming traffic. I still passed, but I lost points for this. 3. Signal and physically turn your head whenever switching lanes, don't just dart your eyes, because your evaluator is looking for head movement.

For written: IDK, I feel it's pretty straightforward other than the one everyone seems not to understand in real life: you can't use the middle lane to turn onto a highway/road from a side street. The middle lane is for people getting off the road, not for side streets to turn onto and wait to merge when there's a lot of traffic. If there's too much traffic, do a Michigan left: turn right, merge to the left, & make a U-turn.
