2. Elizabeth Warren is incredibly narcissistic, in some ways, even worse than Trump (bold claim, I know, but bear with me). She managed to cause Sherrod Brown & Katie Porter to lose their elections by hitching her wagon to an incredibly unpopular, fringe & unhinged anticrypto platform. Instead of learning from this & focusing on the kitchen table issues like she pays lip service to on campaigns, she's back again trying to shore up her own power by making retail banks the only game in town (which she controls via the CFPB), which is why she's against stablecoins & all non-bank financial institutions. She can do this because her seat is safe & she doesn't care how it hurts the Dems overall: even Trump doesn't do this and blinked on tariffs.

3. USD Stablecoins force issuers to buy government debt. We don't care who buys our debt. (China buys a lot of it!) There is no reason to oppose stablecoins as a US politician unless you want to accelerate US fiscal instability (to burn it all down, from the ashes of which your delulu ideology will presumably rise; I don't think I need to spell out how stupid this is.)

1. Centralized real-world-asset-backed stablecoins are fine, they are a fintech upgrade over Paypal/Venmo/Wize...but not the cypherpunk magic that started this whole space. Crypto should embrace RWAs & the fees they can bring without having to own their failure modes. It's all upside for Ethereum with the slight caveat that maybe some fraction of those dollars would've gone into buying ETH. Fees are more sustainable than browbeating ppl to buy & hodl ETH.
