a bit more on Twitter’s creator program that’s so great you’ll just have to: ✅ grind for a while to be eligible (Nikita says 6 months but likely much much longer — like years — on 10 years & I still don’t) ✅ qualify for at least $50 in rewards before they even attempt to pay you ✅ may take up to 90 days once you qualify easy peesy

So my account qualifies for ad revenue and has for over a year now. I actually found it to be the easiest web2 social platform to monetize. The criteria to reach are clear and as long as you follow the rules of the platform, they'll admit you. Other platforms have very murky qualifiers at best, often feeling like a popularity contest where you post endlessly, hoping for a special invite.

That’s great — I’ve found it by far the most challenging. I use Twitter as a necessary distribution channel. How long did it take you to earn directly from Twitter? How does it compare here? What other platforms are you using?

I mean, my account was a couple of years old, but I had less than 3k followers when I qualified for ad share. Probably less than two months from when I decided to make qualifying a focus to when I accomplished it. I definitely make more money from Twitter than anywhere else, Web2 or Web3 social platforms. Granted, not a ton of money, but consistently over $100 per month. In comparison, I've made $200 here lifetime. DepressiveHacks is on basically all platforms. Same handle everywhere. Now, how much time I spend on each is a different story.

You’re the first smallish acct I’ve seen who’s made any money on twitter. All others they have hundreds of thousands/millions of followers
