I love the way DNS subdomain support on Bluesky allows for simultaneous verification and brand account cohesion.

So, if you have a domain, you can host yourself on Bluesky?

Not exactly. You can host yourself but that’s unrelated. This is part of namespace verification. Similar to Mastodon, you can add a DNS text record to your website with a string that relates to your DID (your Bluesky/Mastodon account ID—like your FID here). Doing so allows you to change your username to your DNS name which serves as a de facto verification. It’s a lot like ENS verification here but, since brands, and most people rely more on their DNS for traffic and trust, this is way more practical. However, Farcaster doesn’t support ENS subdomains yet, and Bluesky’s DNS subdomains were not there from the start but seem to be now.
