call me old fashioned but the ideal amount of physical, um boundary setting, needed to guide young men in the world is non-zero

this physical correction needs to come from a stranger as a consequence rather than a parent as a punishment

the fact this is illegal means soft men who, often rightly, think there are no consequences for their actions

not saying I know how to make this legal in a reasonable way that doesn't have it's own consequences but I imagine this can be done in smaller high trust communities

when i was 12 or so i was riding w my dad through a neighborhood during winter

some teenage boys threw a tightly compacted snow/ice ball into his windshield

my dad stopped the truck, ran down one them, and washed his face in the snow for 15 seconds before calmy getting back in the car

people aren't allowed to FAFO at a younger age as much as they used to, and so you FAFO at a later age, but with more consqeunce
