I don’t understand why we give a symbol so much power over us

Kanye is not a nazi

He is interested in why it makes everyone so angry

Why is Kanye releasing music praising hitler and producing clothing with hate symbols?

His art is about reactionary culture. He’s saying “look at how angry these people get at a symbol they have no real world experience with, look at how easily they call a black American racist for pointing at it”

Look at how mad we are, people who have never met a real nazi

and yes, I have absolutely met real Nazis. I somehow doubt you have, otherwise you wouldn’t be comfortable with someone who makes a living off of dog-whistling.

We live in the same absurdity simulator. Hi!

What he’s doing is a crime in quite a few other countries.

For good reasons.

This isn’t only about empathy, it’s about logic and history.

Autism doesn’t predispose people to being hateful or ignorant of the consequences to their actions.

People who relate to that symbol would gladly gas you. Be better.

You are very mad at a dude making cultural art about how people get mad at an idea

And you’re missing the point— Kanye is autistic. I am autistic. I have always been an outsider. It is hard for me to empathize with why you are mad, since the whole thing is a silly identity politic.
