Serrated knives are for sawing through something, like bread.

For prepping veg, you’ll get a much better cut with far less effort if you use something like a chef’s knife :) attached a pic.

It is great fun trying to figure out what's cookin. You are doing fine. Im not really one to tell people what to do but if we are going to teach knife anything I reccomend the lesson before right knife should be tuck the tips of your fingers. Later we can get to proper blades. Hug
