If I had to save just one book, it would be this one "Das Schloss" by Kafka. My first book (I was 21).

Sounds like an interesting book, I will read it.
When I heard that desire disappears, it reminded me of "Momo" from Ende's works. It is a children's book but a deep work.

However, it's not easy to read. Kafka has a really dense and complex style, and the atmosphere is quite heavy as well. But if that doesn't bother you, then go for it. I had never heard of Momo by Ende, I will check it out 😊 thanks
