I don't get why cabals start in backroom telegrams and not just in public Like why can't we just cabal something right here together

Cabals are safe spaces for powerful people to throw out dumb ideas, and have them vetted by like-minded people they trust before they reach a wider audience. When powerful people throw dumb ideas out raw, they're going to get a bunch of simps cheering them on either way, warping their perception of what ideas are good.
