Russia and Ukraine are both mass-producing these. Main countermeasure today is RF jamming. (FPV drones use analog video & controls. Very 20th century.)

I suspect even with the swarms, broadband jamming will still be the most effective way to mitigate the drones.

If they're navigating using onboard camera and sensors, they don't necessarily need any connectivity in order to fly

For sure, and I suspect as AI develops there will be less and less need for that home station link. However, just from experience broadband jamming usually does the job (until it doesn’t)
