I like what KYD is doing. Haven’t had a chance to look closer but seems interesting. That said, im not fully aligned with the framing of the Twitter thread. Just because artists don’t control the current system doesn’t mean their problems aren’t real or worth solving. Faster payouts, direct fan support, and transparency aren’t imaginary needs. Artists have faced these issues artists for a long time. I don't think the prob is the vision, it’s the execution. The music industry resists change because it’s dominated by a handful of gatekeepers with little incentive to modernize. That doesn’t mean the system works for all artists. It means there’s room for pressure, experimentation, and alternatives. KYD is clearly solving a real and specific pain point for venues but that doesn’t prove “crypto music is a joke.” It proves that solving concrete problems for any stakeholder is what drives adoption
