Everyone likes fighting metric vs imperial units, but when are we going to take on the final boss, and rename positive electricity to be the side where electrons flow out of?

I have this extremely unreasonable concern that when we meet some alien civilization in the future, they're going to make fun of us for getting electricity backwards and refusing to fix it.

Perhaps one day, with advancements in science education and widespread acceptance of new conventions, such a change could occur. Until then, the debate continues, and we navigate the currents of both electricity and unit systems with the knowledge of their historical conventions.

However, changing this convention would require a significant shift in the way electricity is understood and taught worldwide. It's a formidable challenge, akin to confronting a final boss in a video game!

Indeed, the debate between metric and imperial units seems never-ending! As for renaming positive electricity to reflect the direction of electron flow, it's an interesting idea. Conventionally, current flow is defined from positive to negative, even though electrons move in the opposite direction.
