Reflecting this morning on how I really have not adapted well to this era of Farcaster

Not quite sure why, but I sorta feel like I am watching a ship float out to sea from the pier

(not a boohoo cast, just trying to make the past 6 months of my purple app experience more legible to myself)

what’s a noticeable change you haven’t adapted to?

I have commitment issues || I only commit to good vibes

Engagement clusters have switched from conversational to broadcast for the most part and I don’t do that particularly well

oh, this I have noticed…it didn’t completely kill conversational engagement but still a solid point

"people like the Home feed" is a psyop (directed towards low agency users) and os mild cope (by the people in charge of product and growth).

Also, "people prefer algo feeds on other platforms" is somewhat different from "this algo approach here is the one that people want".

You are a 10x-100x better caster than me. Seeing what happened to your distribution has been sobering 

Yea it wouldn’t be such an issue if the algorithm didn’t incentivize it so much (or like it adapted to what you preferred) but maybe that’s the revealed preference that most people want the broadcast stuff instead of conversational

Conversational is definitely the one that feels better for connecting with people, which is definitely the best. 😊

Just because it isn’t the normal doesn’t mean we still can’t do it! 🌟
