We’re seeing increased activity on Farcaster this week, although they still haven’t managed to make a real breakthrough in their growth strategy. I believe the project needs competition — it needs its own Sushiswap to push it out of its comfort zone.

Under the hood this increase is even more interesting:
- there isn't an increase in active FIDs
- 5d in a row is also rising 
- both spam label 0 and 2 are equally more active
- but, there is a relative uptick of level 0 casts with a reaction (from <20% to 50% of all casts with reactions)

So, casters are more active.
Imo linked to crypto market circumstances (not BTC, but ETH and some altcoins).

What does that mean when we are in a bear market? does average activity go down completely?

Will spamcast share continue to decline in a bear market?

What's the impact of the rewards? Has it effects, but is it faded away due to other drivers to cast or not?

I think that is part of the explanation. Higher prices mean that tips are worth more, although the tips are now also shifting to USDC. In addition, enthusiasm about the market can also lead to more casts and interactions without the need of tips.

Do you think the uptick also has something to do with the tipping / incentivised social interaction culture it's pushing here?
