JP Morgan launching its own dollar is fascinating. It was only a few centuries ago that each bank had its own coin. The Bank of England was given the exclusive right to print bank notes only in 1844, and UK banks were printing Pound sterling barely 100 years ago, as recent as 1921. Now we seem to be heading back.

I definitely feel like we're re-doing the entire history of money and financial institutions at a high speed with crypto.
