yesterday i felt like baking something for tea hereâs a recipe for buns with filling step 1: ⢠1 tbsp dry yeast ⢠2 tbsp sugar ⢠3 tbsp flour ⢠300 ml warm water or milk step 2: ⢠1 tsp salt ⢠70 ml vegetable oil ⢠350-370 g flour (or 2-2.5 cups of 250 ml each) ⢠mix all ingredients from step 1 in a bowl and leave in a warm place for 15 minutes ⢠after 15 minutes, start step 2 by adding oil and salt ⢠gradually add sifted flour in small portions and knead the dough until it stops sticking to your hands. put it back in a warm place for 15 minutes ⢠divide the dough into 6 parts, shape the buns, make a depression in the middle, add the filling (i used blackcurrant jam) ⢠let them rest a bit, brush with egg yolk ⢠sprinkle the top with streusel (1 part sugar, 2 parts flour, 1 part grated butter, rub until crumbly) ⢠bake the buns for 20-25 minutes at 180â°c in a preheated oven
