i wish there was an app that recorded how many times you write a post and don’t hit send not drafts, but the ones you type up, pause, then delete i know it’s easier to just say “post everything, who cares” but i’m genuinely curious the ratio of posts that get written and discarded vs posts that live

I do that a lot. I have a lot of things I write down for myself, and things I don't think people are ready to hear yet!

do you journal, that may help, or you can just say screw it and post it and see what happens!

oh yea i journal a lot. this idea is more about analytics on behavior and how all social media (more or less) transformed from a fun playground into a place of business. i also go back and forth with whether it’s ok to post publicly for myself or limit all my posts to be things others can engage with…

Oh man. Sounds like we would get along perfectly. I talk usually to my homies about how social media has become the business of the media and they disguise it with the algorithm changes. I used to have a twitter account back in the day that I deleted and it was full of random one line thoughts and annoyances. They weren't as popular as what I made for the general public but I did have a group of people who would interact with those. It's really hard sometimes to post those things because we have become so trained to make viral posts. That we lost authenticity. You know? Sometimes I'll throw random nuggets of info injust to see what happens. I think maybe you could do that. Just randomly throw some of your raw unfiltered thoughts in and see what happens.
