Last time I talked to IRL bitcoin devs, they we're basically excited about 2019 style payment channel improvements to lightning network.

I feel like pure Bitcoiners are basically the crypto version of the Amish.

Maybe they will get a rite of passage where after a few years they get to venture into defi and Ethereum to test modern ways of life. I'm sure they will make it a purity test and most of them will reject modernity to live simple lives with older technology and passing this down to their children.
