Minimum Viable Living update....

Let's figure out what my monthly budget is!

Land costs... $2.50/mo(prop. tax)
Cell phone... $30/mo
Amazon Prime... $8/mo
Water... $30/mo
Gasolina... $60/mo 
Food... $300/mo

Total monthly nut... $430/mo 

I don't think I could get away with living for any cheaper than I am. How much do you spend a month to live?

It's how much I actually spend, not really a budget. I'm one dude so I don't need to buy tons of food. I dont eat breakfast so it's just lunch/dinner. This month it's hotdogs a lot, which actually cost more than what I normally eat lol. One weeks worth of chicken, beef and veg usually costs me closer to $50. I added another 25 to cover burritos and tacos lol

Keeping food to $300 / month ain’t easy

My uncle lived in a sprinter van for a few years and just traveled the country, seemed sweet.  

Gonna do some road trips soon w/ the dogs in the rivian.  Feel like I need to get out there.

Bah. I did my time in San Fran and now I'm onto a different chapter. One day, you'll do the same.

About 4k now. At the ranch it was that, or less. We ate a lot of rabbit.

That includes renting a trailer to haul it. The water itself is $9 for 1000 gallons

That’s incredible. Water expense is so much lower than I’d anticipate it being.

It's not a tolerance break man, it's part of my minimum viable living experiment. 👍 It's going fine, no noticeable difference.

Growing veggies for the fine folks of Southeastern Massachusetts, w/ a focus on nutrient quality. Always interested in the evolution of digital payments.  🎩 

Zero time for separate garden.  

We grow pretty much all we need that makes sense / aka no English shelling peas - we buy those frozen.

4k/yr isn't bad, about Cali prices. I could only imagine how much food a family of 5 must go though haha. It's definitely cool that you have your own veg tho! Do you keep a separate garden with extra stuff you don't normally grow for the house?

Our is definitely more than $430.

That’s like a solid grocery trip beyond the veg I grow.

Property tax alone is ~4K/yr and we live in a fairly modest house for our community.

Great deal for 3 kids in school, libraries, roads, police, fire, beaches, parks, etc etc etc.

lol fuckin hell man that is impressive honestly they need to teach courses in high school about this, how to live simply and give back

Spent around $900 a month. 

$150 bill ( Water, Internet & Electric) 
$150 house rent
$30 gasoline
$400 food
$20 child school
$150 for additional need ( healthy, therapy & other extra stuff)

Slowly reducing my number. But there are 4 of us
