@dwr any benefit to us posting natively as opposed to linking a youtube short?

I kept telling everyone posting natively was the way they kept saying I was tripping. I have engagement numbers to prove it! And now even more proof. @androidsixteen.eth the man has spoken, mini app for video will do worse than native

I think @dwr and team are focused on short form video (hence the request for 9:16 aspect ratio videos) because that's what does best in-feed This is a different format than what Pinetree is focused on. You can think of PT as the video "power user" tool. Once you want to expand beyond shorts and create long-form or 16:9 content, it's probably better to have a full-fledged video product rather than a feed product that has good video support Also, more video creators in the FC ecosytem is good for everyone

It gets far less engagement, so I still don't see the point. People told me that video was stuttering for them too πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Not sure what you want me to say -- if you don't want to use the product, don't use it

You say better but my people tell me choppy πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I'm just trying to figure it out. I can post both long and short form, but I need a valid use case and your argument was that it is built for long form. If they tell me choppy playback, then is it better for long form?

You're moving the goal posts -- if the issue is choppy playback, we'll fix that. We've been live for 2 months and are working through any and all bugs like the upload one you helped us debug If the issue is engagement, it makes sense that an auto-playing video in feed will get more views than a video that requires you to click through. But having an indexed and dedicated video product is why people still use YouTube vs. just uploading videos to X. Of course we need to grow our distribution, but again 2 month old product, and we have more work to do in terms of growth I can only solve problems that I'm technically able to solve. Unless @dwr and team will spend resources building auto-playing embed previews, I can't change the fact that users have to click through into the mini app before they can watch the video If you have other ideas to improve engagement, I'm all ears :)
