btw I know it totally stinks but there's no canonical way to generate data on blockchains from external sources. Someone or some group eventually must be chosen to be the arbiter of information.

These were some fun discussions back in the Augur days where at some point, there was always a market that was super ambiguous and ended up wrecking the system for a while until everyone finally settled on an outcome.

They're just the frontend. UMA is the logical backend that handles the prediction market contracts. It's up to those holders.
