I’ve been putting off changing my Apple ID region since we moved to Canada. But turns out it was pretty painless. The only issue was waiting on Fitness+ and TV+ to expire; everything else (including iCloud Family) will keep working until renewal time, when I’ll be prompted to resubscribe in my new region.

What’s the benefit of switching Apple ID regions when moving?

I’ve moved permanently so two things - access to region specific apps (mostly food and retailers) and in-app payments with a card from the region.

Makes sense thanks! 😊 Would be cool to have financial infrastructure that’s not dependent on any particular geographic region 😉

One day! 

But we’d also need to solve international content licensing, tax regulation, data transfer, etc. So maybe not…
