Humankind Candles

Spoke to the Thuan Pham, the CTO of Faire (he used to be the CTO of Uber) today on scaling! 

He gave me great advice on how to a scale /humankind: 

- Decide what market I want to be in
- Drive demand in those markets 
- Figure out where you’re blocked, and re-do your systems to scale 

And I have to say - he was lovely at being inclusive in his body language. I had been the third person behind the line of people to chat with him, but he reached out in front of the people ahead of me to shake my hand. 

Marcelo Cortes (Cofounder and Chief Architect) had to handle a tough question on diversity at Faire and he jumped in with stats and specific examples. Thuan is a great executve through and through.

There was a lot of people waiting to talk with him, our chat was very short, but from an earlier answer he gave  it’s just the standard startup advice which is solve a problem people need solved! Wish I could give you more!!
