with that budget you can probably cover some combination of these four areas: - kitchen: cabinetry, floor tile + backsplash, counter, lighting - bathroom: shower + fixtures, floor tile, mirror, counter + vanity, lighting - living area: lighting fixtures, switch and outlet covers - bedroom: loft bed for extra space, lighting fixtures prioritization really depends on the deficiencies of the unit

yeah but the main issues in these shitty units are either hardware like fixtures and lighting or structural issues like paper thin walls/floors. decor is easy if you have a good eye, millennials are good at that part. only gets you so far though. plenty of millennials out there with 1-500k in cash who can’t afford to buy according to the bank so are stuck in this weird middle state of renting but wanting better.
