Hey there, some web3 video devs and I came together to scope out a spec for how video frames could look like. You can check it out here: https://github.com/streamethorg/video-frame Looking for feedback! Specially from anyone developing farcaster clients, would this be a viable implementation?

Since you're recommending HLS, do you think it's worth noting whether live streaming is supported through this frame, and therefore whether clients have an expectation to be polling the HLS manifest for new segments? Or it's only VOD? I also suspect .mp4 support might be a quickly requested feature from users.

I can't help but say here that if a user were able to view the Live (Synchronous) _and_ VOD (Post-synchronous) content of a single individual human media publisher via the same UI, then perhaps we have a solution?
