I've embraced that 
When there's no humidity my hair will be straight
When there's heavy humidity my hair will be naturally wavy curly and I can't brush it or else

i feel you. it's why i never had them before(mightve had as a teen maybe) curtain bangs just WORK for my face shape and it's helped me with my self confidence a lot over the last 2 years. GAHHHH.

I gave up on bangs
I refuse to ever get them again
I have tried this twice in adulthood; they require work!
And i put no effort in my hair

im happy for my hair that i live in calgary bc it's sooo dry here (downsides are worse tho) that i don't have to worry about humidity most months. 

my hair is naturally curly, when it was much longer & thicker back in 2018-19, the curls would settle into waves the next day and i LOVED that.  i started using the straightener brush after i got curtain bangs 2 years ago and never looked back. bangs are difficult to work with if we have curly hair. idk how to deal with them 🥲
