for anyone interested in the future of what the intersection of music and blockchains look like - first time i've been bullish on a project in the space https://x.com/KYDLabs/status/1918753011603841426

After 15 years in the music industry and 5 years in music x blockchain, I would love to see this succeed. Getting venues out of the Live Nation chokehold is a good start to disrupting the system, although I'm skeptical we'll see anything at mass scale for a long time. Too many monopolies that are intertwined. Not relying on artists to be the soldiers for whatever music product is being built, that's another good start

respect the skepticism transparently i've had the luck to spend a decent amount of time talking with the founder - he's already taken 7 figure deals away from ticket master just through grinding. throw stablecoins on it and my guess is that only accelerates since he'll be able to offer financing terms traditional methods could only dream of obviously we'll see how it all shakes out... from what I can tell the entreched powers are not going to go down without a fight. but on the scale of interesting ideas that actually solve problems for the people who matter (artists in this case) - it's a banger, especially versus the copy/paste garbage we usually see in consumer crypto

I geeel you, @chic. Most of the attempts in this space haven’t made it past the blog post. It’s discouraging, even for us builders. But we’ve stayed heads down with just just me on sales—and have already driven millions in extra revenue for venues and won exclusivity deals. The model’s working, slowly but surely. Not overnight, not loud, but real. But in due time my man 😉
