Ethereum is about to have more blockspace than we know what to do with. The real challenge now is demand "We need to shift more mindshare toward the application layer. Apps people actually want to use, with real business models, that make the world better. If we don’t lead here, we’ll end up in 2028 with nothing but presidential meme coins and ponzis" - @vitalik.eth Ethereum’s infra is on a clear path, the supply side is nearing escape velocity Very soon, we’ll have 8x+ the throughput on L2s, 10x+ more capacity on L1, and thousands of times more aggregate blockspace across the Ethereum network The question is no longer can Ethereum scale. The question is what will we use all this blockspace for “Building an infinite ocean is useless if you have a swimming pool's water to fill it.” - @polynya 1/2 https://x.com/tkstanczak/status/1932948328687518086

With all of the problems that have been identified around supporting the app layer, where do you see solutions coming from? Tomasz's answer is correct, but whose going to do it? https://x.com/tkstanczak/status/1932947344045326614

Sorry for the delay. Tbh I don’t have a strong answer yet. I still have a lot to learn in this area. Would really appreciate input from people who have thought deeply about it, like you

I can give my 2c... There are a ton of L2s that have a bad taste in their mouth around grants, but they're just not doing grants correctly. Where we have historically failed is that we are not giving builders the long term support they need to succeed. Mentorship around product, operations, structured feedback sessions to iterate, access to networks. Many look at Uniswap, and expect that many more should be able to take a small grant and turn into a unicorn (no pun intended) I talked to James Smith today and said that he is working on this exact issue which is great, but I don't think this can come from the EF alone, nor should it. It should come from all of these ecosystems providing the blockspace. And all of those ecosystems imo would do themselves a lot more favors by being more collaborative rather than competitive @sov wrote a great article recently about grants: https://substack.com/inbox/post/165059424?r=4qcq&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true&triedRedirect=true
