American political discourse is dominated by vibes, chasing mic-drops moments, celebrity endorsements, and children of presidential or vice presidential candidates. This is mindblowing to outsiders who are used to discussing policies. I lived in countries where people go nuts over politics, but it's rarely this petty, focused so little on political stances.

I think nothing is wrong with knowing politicians but I'd like to know their policy stances instead of their vibes and charisma.
